Friday Favorites | August 5

Hello Hello!

It's Friday again! Holy moly that week flew by! Anyone else with me? But I am definitely ready for the weekend!

I'm excited to share round two of Friday Favorites!!! So instead of adding extra fluff, I'm just gonna get right to it!

1. Adidas

Alright, within the past couple months I have seriously become obsessed with all things Adidas. I'm so glad there's a brand out there that I feel like understands me. I sported "athleisure" long before it had an official name and even before it was a trend. Don't be mistaken though, it was mostly due to being lazy and an effort to get my booty to the gym at some point in the day. If you're already dressed for it then there's no excuse to skip, right?

Much to my surprise and excitement athleisure has become not only socially acceptable, but also fashionable. Vintage 90's sports clothing is starting to take the world by storm and I'm really ok with it.

I have taken a liking to Adidas not only because I like the way it looks aesthetically, but seriously it's all SO comfortable. It allows you to try, without really trying, which is a win-win in my book. I love pairing Adidas T's with a flannel or just wearing them plain with shorts or jeans. Voila, you're ready to go!

Side note: I conveniently had some Adidas gear that coordinates with our USA colors, which is perfect because the Olympics start tonight! ! ! USA! USA! USA! hehe

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo

I really can't imagine my life without this stuff. That may sound dramatic, but I'm serious. I don't know what I did before discovering dry shampoo...maybe I showered or something? (haha! joking...kind of.)

But really, if you're having one of those days where you just aren't feeling a shower, or you don't have the time- this is your stuff! You just spray it into your roots and your hair is magically de-greased and looking fre$h!

I love Batiste over any other brand of dry shampoo that I've tried because: 1. It's a British brand. Need I say more? 2. Batiste offers different colors so that brunettes like me don't have to go walking around with gray roots at the age of 21! (If that's you, we've all been there.) 3. There are lots of different scents to choose from, and from what I've tested they all smell good!

So go get some of your own Batiste, and we can all not wash our hair together!

3. Polaroid Cameras

Last week, my family met up with one of my Mom's high school friends' family for dinner. About halfway through, my Mom pulled out a little plastic baggy filled with printed out pictures of High School memories that we all got to look through and pass around the table. Sitting there I realized that when I have kids who are my age, I'm not going to be able to pull out a plastic baggy and show them all of my memories. Instead, like everyone else in this generation, all of my pictures are digital and exist in some folder, probably named along the lines of "McKenzie Bieber iPhone 2008". To do something so simple as reminiscing, we're going to have to bring a tablet, plug in an external drive and avoid the hundreds of selfies and saved Pinterest workouts and inspirational quotes just to get to one picture from our Junior Prom.

That's what brings me to POLAROIDS. I have to admit, I got one at first because I thought it was cool and Taylor Swift used one at all of her cool parties, that I'm still bitter I didn't get invited to. Aside from Polaroids being "cool", I now appreciate them because I get to have a little photo album that I can physically flip through photos! Even though I don't use it as often as I would like, I know that I will always treasure my polaroids and won't accidentally delete them when I'm updating my iPhone. What a world.

Well that's it for this week's Friday Favorites! If you have anything that you're obsessed with this week, I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

Have a great weekend! xx
